I'm Kim, a self-taught oil painter based in LA.
When I don’t have a brush in hand, you’ll find me with my nose in a book or planning my next travel adventure. I’m endlessly inspired by the little mysteries of everyday life and I try to bring that sense of wonder into every canvas.
Behind My Work
My work explores emotion and myth, through portraits of women suspended in dream-like worlds. I'm drawn to old tales —real and imagined—and often wonder where we might’ve fit within them. I love playing with light, texture, and expression to create figures that feel like stories paused mid-breath.
